Prop designer
Melody received her BA in Arts Administration and Technical Theatre from Rider University in 2019. During her time there she spent 3 years as the student Props Coordinator where she was in charge of organizing and maintaining the large props warehouse as well as transporting and tracking props across campus and rentals.
When it comes to designing a show, Melody aims to use props to tell a visual story and unlock the truth of the characters on stage. From hand helds, to practical props, to furniture, to set dressing, all her choices are intentional. She considers aesthetic as well as durability, safety, and accuracy. Melody loves collaborating with directors, other designers, and actors to make sure her props bring a show to life.
